Born and raised in the South, I have always found comfort in my roots here in Atlanta. After graduating high school, I attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina where I received my B.A. in Experimental Psychology with a minor in Educational Counseling. Following my undergraduate degree, I obtained my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mississippi. I gained experience working with a diverse group of clientele with a variety of issues. I enjoy working with people of all ages, including children, adolescents, young adults, and families, with a range of emotional and social obstacles. I make it my goal to best help individuals develop personal skills and find strengths to overcome these problems.
I also find passion in sports counseling. During graduate school, I had the pleasure of working with student athletes at Ole Miss and students of Moya Tennis Academy. While coaches and trainers help optimize an athlete’s physical strength, I use psychological principals to optimize their mental abilities to perform at their best under the greatest of pressure.
I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. All clients deserve a safe and supportive space to explore their issues and find solutions. I aim to create an empathetic and safe relationship with all clients to help achieve their goals and find personal growth. I primarily operate from a Person-centered theoretical orientation, but I also use other evidence-based techniques to help clients gain knowledge and personal growth.
